P2CKD is a completely novel medical-student-run program that uses machine learning and telemedicine to manage underserved/uninsured patients' diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease (CKD) at local free clinics.
P2CKD is the FIRST & ONLY student-led research project to receive a $20,000 TTUHSCEP grant!
We are inviting MS1s to send us their CVs to apply for a position on our team. The estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours per month, with internal leadership positions available for exceptionally qualified candidates.
You will receive clinical volunteer hours for managing patient care and be included in research publications.
Major needs at this time:
Spanish fluent.
Background in web/application design (Google Sites), graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, or similar), social media content creation/management, or marketing (SEO).
Experience in a clinical research coordinator (CRC) position - especially experience with consenting patients or with REDCap.
Additionally, students with any of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:
Background in nutrition, hypertension care, diabetes management, or chronic kidney disease/dialysis care.
Experience working/volunteering as a social or community health worker, or experience coordinating health fairs or public health outreach.
Experience with acquiring external funding (grant searching and writing).
Background in biostatistics, AI, ML, or NLP.
Background in sales, finance, healthcare start-ups, or nonprofit management.
Background in data privacy and compliance.
